I spent over a decade as an Olympic weightlifter, and for most of that time I loved the sport far more than I loved what I had to wear to compete in it.
Weightlifting suits were designed for men and shrunk down for women, and you could tell. They gaped at the back, dug in around the legs, and were boring. On top of it all they were plain, forgettable, like looking good while you lifted wasn't allowed to matter. Competing is supposed to be the moment you feel powerful. Instead, I felt exposed.
So I started making my own.
These suits were bold, different, and made me feel like a powerhouse on the platform. That's why I created Valkr.
Activewear built to perform and designed to be noticed.
Everything I make is designed around real training, real movement, and the female body. And I'm committed to constantly improving, listening to my customers, and building a community that feels like it belongs to them.
I started Valkr because I couldn't find the suit I needed, so I built it myself. If you're wearing Valkr, you're wearing the gear I wished existed when I was still on the platform looking for it.
